Film "Hope" investment and distribution company PlusM Entertainment and production company Posed Films announced a strong response policy regarding the exploitation of actor Hwang Jung-min's stalking damage.
The two companies stated in an official position that "actor Hwang Jung-min has suffered from stalking, and legal measures have already been taken," and revealed that person A has been continuing to interfere with business by sending emails with maliciously edited content to the two companies and partner companies of the film Hope, and repeatedly posting and deleting posts on SNS that disparage the actor and film.
They continued, "The actions showed an attempt to disrupt the film's smooth sailing not only during the release preparation period but also during important box office periods," and pointed out that "this is not only causing damage to the overall business of Hope, but also intentionally damaging the honor of those who worked for the film."
PlusM Entertainment and Posed Films defined the conduct as intentional harm to the film Hope, and announced that they will actively review legal measures and continue strong countermeasures to prevent additional damage.
