KBS 2TV's Sunday mini-series 'The Completion of Marriage' continues its upward trend while renewing its own highest viewership rating, as a past happy family photo of Namkoong Min and Lee Seol sparks curiosity.
The 4th episode of 'The Completion of Marriage' (directed by Kim Jung-hyun, Kim Min-tae / written by Jung Jae-ha / produced by Red Nine Pictures, KBS Media), which aired on the 12th, recorded a national viewership rating of 7.2% and a per-minute peak viewership of 8.5%, setting its own record high. On the global OTT platform Disney , it also ranked 1st in 'Today's Top 10 Series in Korea' for two consecutive weeks, and rose to 3rd place in the overall Kinolights OTT rankings, proving its hot topicality.
In the previous broadcast, the tragic moment when the tragedy of Kang Tae-joo (played by Namkoong Min) and Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol) began was depicted. As their daughter in a critical condition passed away, Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol) burst with anger and resentment toward Kang Tae-joo (played by Namkoong Min) for not arriving in time, evoking sympathy.
In this context, a scene of the three-person family's daughter's birthday party, which was once happier than anyone else in the world, was captured. In a space decorated with balloons and flowers, Kang Tae-joo and Go Se-yoon smile brightly with their faces close to their daughter's cheeks, creating a stark contrast with the current brutal confrontation. The focus is on whether the two can resolve the kidnapping case and return to those happy days.
On set, Namkoong Min and Lee Seol naturally acted out the image of a harmonious family. Namkoong Min did not spare applause for the child actor's performance, and Lee Seol carefully looked after the child actor to help them adapt to the set, completing the most brilliant moment.
The production team said, "It's an important scene showing that Kang Tae-joo and Go Se-yoon had a past happier than anyone else," and added, "Please watch until the end to see what secret from the past the two are keeping without speaking." The 5th episode of 'The Completion of Marriage,' produced with support from the Broadcasting and Communications Development Fund, will air on Saturday the 18th at 9:20 p.m.
