In the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Kim Bu-jang', So Ji-sub and Seo Su-min share a tender embrace in the midst of a crisis hanging by a thread.
The 6th episode of 'Kim Bu-jang' (written by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun, planned by Studio S, produced by Studio S and Fanthazio), which aired last week, recorded a nationwide viewership of 22.3% and a peak of 26.4%, setting its own all-time high. Additionally, it has topped Netflix's Global Non-English TV Shows category for two consecutive weeks, continuing its explosive success both domestically and internationally.
In the previous broadcast, Kim Bu-jang (played by So Ji-sub), Sung Han-soo (played by Choi Dae-hoon), and Park Jin-chul (played by Yoon Kyung-ho) were shown risking their lives in a rescue operation to save Min-ji (played by Seo Su-min) who was captured by the Special Operations Bureau.
In the 7th episode airing on the 17th, Kim Bu-jang, Sung Han-soo, and Park Jin-chul, surrounded by riot control teams, continue their breathtaking escape operation to get away with Min-ji. A frightened Min-ji approaches Kim Bu-jang, who has subdued the Deputy National Security Advisor (played by Lim Chul-hyung), tears streaming down her face, and Kim Bu-jang consoles his daughter while remaining vigilant. Sung Han-soo and Park Jin-chul will heighten the drama's tension by standing against the tightening encirclement with flawless cover fire.
This scene required both intense gunfire exchanges and deep emotional acting, and was filmed with high concentration. So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hoon, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Seo Su-min rehearsed their movements and timing multiple times to create a highly polished scene.
The production team said, "The desperate paternal love to protect one's daughter and the passionate loyalty of staying by their side until the end will explode," urging viewers to look forward to it.
The 7th episode of 'Kim Bu-jang' airs on Friday the 17th at 9:50 p.m.
