JTBC's Saturday drama 'Apartment' features Ji-sung and Park Byung-eun engaging in a chilling, blood-tinged confrontation in the darkness.
In the 3rd episode of 'Apartment' (screenplay by Kim Yun-young, directed by Cho Yong-won, produced by SLL and Red Nine Pictures) airing on the 18th, two individuals who harbor tremendous ambition and cold true nature stand in tense confrontation. The 2nd episode achieved the show's highest viewership of 5.4% nationwide average, ranking 1st among all non-terrestrial channels on Sunday and even securing the top spot on Netflix's 'Top 10 Series in Korea,' creating a box office sensation. Previously, Park Hae-gang (played by Ji-sung) threw himself into the battle for the building representative election to save Park Yong-man (played by Jung Jin-young), a figure like a father to him, while Lee Chung-won (played by Park Byung-eun) revealed his cruel true nature by swinging a golf club.
In this 3rd episode, Park Hae-gang, who was walking through the apartment complex, encounters Lee Chung-won coming from the opposite direction, and they shake hands. While Park Hae-gang expresses warmth with a bright smile, Lee Chung-won wears mysterious bloodstains on his face and displays an eerie smile, creating suffocating tension. Ji-sung and Park Byung-eun completed the chilling atmosphere at the filming site with just an exchange of gazes, drawing admiration from staff members.
The production team stated, "The confrontation scene between the two actors meeting in the middle of the night is a moment that showcases overwhelming acting chemistry," and added, "The unidentified blood droplets on the face and the chilling handshake between those who witness it will fill the screen."
