(hereinafter 'Why Climb'), which will premiere on August 18th, is a climbing variety show that follows four reluctant mountaineers who have never been interested in climbing throughout their lives as they challenge a winter snow mountain expedition. As the stunning snowy landscapes of deep winter broadcast in the midst of summer are expected to beat the heat, the journey of these climbing beginners seeking answers to their questions conveys both laughter and authenticity.
A new content offering from Na Young-seok's production company in partnership with Netflix, it brings together Carder Garden, who spans music and variety entertainment, DAY6's Down, actor Lee Chae-min, and Tarzan from All Day Project to form a special mountaineering club. The unique combination of these four trending personalities, each with distinct charms, promises distinctive chemistry.
The released teaser poster and trailer showcase the challenging climbing journey of Carder Garden, the determined eldest member, along with Down, Lee Chae-min, and Tarzan. Carder Garden's hesitation at the unexpectedly difficult terrain and the struggling efforts of the reluctant members contrast sharply with the majestic winter snow-covered landscapes, raising curiosity about the main broadcast.
PD Park Hyun-yong explained that he planned genuine variety entertainment with real hardship, and hinted at the vivid chemistry that the four will complete while supporting each other in the extreme environment of the harsh winter mountains.
