Survival reality show 'Ideological Verification Zone: The Community' returns with its second season 'The Community 2: The Invisible Hand'.
Wavve announced its official launch on the 29th by releasing a teaser poster.
Season 1, which pioneered Korea's first ideological survival format, garnered immense interest by illuminating how individuals with different values form power and politics. After its conclusion, it gained word-of-mouth popularity and achieved a reverse myth by ranking first in driving new paid subscriptions. It also received recognition for its quality by winning the Best Entertainment and Educational Program award at the 3rd Blue Dragon Series Awards.
'The Community 2: The Invisible Hand', making its return, is a social experiment survival show where participants with different resources compete for survival and prize money through trading. Expanding beyond the previous broadcast that dealt with ideological and value conflicts, this season now encompasses the formation of new order through repeated trading, cooperation, conflict, and choices.
The released teaser poster captures participants seated around a massive table with documents and laptops spread out. The appearance of participants wearing different colored clothes—white, blue, red, and black—along with the text "Welcome to the Free Trade Zone" reveal the new identity.
The subtitle 'The Invisible Hand' refers to the core of this season where market principles formed through participants' autonomous trading and choices determine the direction of the community. It raises questions about whether participants can maintain their beliefs even before survival and profit, hinting at fierce psychological warfare.
The production team stated they have designed an even more sophisticated and interesting game, and asked viewers to anticipate unpredictable developments that human desires and choices will create amid endless trading for survival.
'The Community 2: The Invisible Hand' will be exclusively released on Wavve in September.
