Actors Ji-sung and Park Byung-eun performed a tense one-on-one scene in an atmosphere of cold tension.
In JTBC's weekend drama 'Apartment' (written by Kim Yun-young, directed by Cho Yong-won, produced by SLL and Red Nine Pictures), Ji-sung plays Park Hae-gang and Park Byung-eun plays Lee Chung-won. The 6th episode, which aired recently, achieved the top viewership rating and secured high rankings on OTT platforms and trending topics, establishing itself as a central axis of weekend dramas.
In episode 6, Park Hae-gang traces the missing long-term reserve fund and faces Lee Chung-won, chairman of Taesan Construction. He then declares to Lee Chung-won, who knew about the artifact scam, that he will become his right hand, delivering a twist.
In episode 7, which airs on August 1st, Park Hae-gang and Lee Chung-won have a secretive private meeting in the resident representatives' conference room. Park Hae-gang offers a proposal with a confident smile, while Lee Chung-won responds with a meaningful gaze trying to see through his true intentions, creating tension.
At the actual filming site, the two exchanged subtle smiles and cold glances while immersing themselves in their characters as soon as the camera rolled. When the camera stopped, they showed warmth by caring for each other with bright smiles, boosting the morale of the on-site staff.
The production team said that whether Lee Chung-won accepts Park Hae-gang's bold proposal to become his right hand is a key point to watch, and that the two's closed-door meeting will create overwhelming immersion.
'Apartment' episode 7 airs on August 1st at 10:40 PM.
