JTBC Saturday-Sunday drama 'Apartment' (written by Kim Yun-young, directed by Cho Yong-won, produced by SLL, Red Nine Pictures) is proving its buzz value by rising to 4th place in Netflix's domestic popular series as the choices of characters on the brink of a cliff are in full swing.
In the last episode 7, Park Hae-gang (Jiseong) was delivering a 10 billion won duffel bag on the orders of Lee Chung-won (Park Byung-eun) when he heard from the head of the Police Service's Investigation Bureau (Lee Hyun-gyun) that Park Yong-man (Jeong Jin-young) has terminal pancreatic cancer. Shocked, Park Hae-gang turned the direction of the car carrying the duffel bag, delivering a sense of tension with that ending.
In episode 8, Park Hae-gang gazes at Park Yong-man losing consciousness in a dark hospital room and falls into deep sighs. Park Hae-gang holds Park Yong-man's cold hand and desperately prays for him to hold on just a little longer.
Park Hae-gang, who took the chairman's seat to save Park Yong-man, has even made a final gambit with his subordinate Bae Su-jin when things go awry due to Lee Chung-won's schemes. On the filming set, Jiseong delivered a meticulous performance crossing suppressed tears and firm determination toward Jeong Jin-young, drawing admiration.
