Director Christopher Nolan's new film 'Odyssey' continues to generate buzz as advance ticket sales remain strong alongside the domestic promotional schedule.
'Odyssey' (Director Christopher Nolan, Imported/Distributed by Universal Pictures) is proceeding with official activities starting with a press conference held by director Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas, and actors Matt Damon and Charlize Theron on the 3rd. On the afternoon of the 4th, they will meet domestic fans through a red carpet event and on-stage greetings. According to the integrated computer network for movie ticket sales, as of 7:01 AM on August 4th, the advance reservation volume reached 432,232 people, maintaining the top spot in the overall reservation rate. The real-time reservation rate also recorded 41.0%.
Commemorative photos were also released, taken against a backdrop of key scenes reinterpreted as ink paintings with Korean sensibility. The ink paintings are works by calligraphy and calligraphy artist Kim So-young, capturing the scene of soldiers pulling the Trojan horse to shore through the nuances of ink and the beauty of negative space. Director Nolan, the production team, and actors took commemorative photos against this ink painting background. Producer Emma Thomas caught attention by wearing a light blue accessory that evokes the journey of Odysseus.
'Odyssey', which captures scale and visual beauty, opens on August 5th.
