Actors Kim Myung-soo and Kang Min-a overcame a heartbreaking separation and reunited after a year, completing their fateful love.

In the finale of the Lifetime to-be-continued drama 'Empathy Cells' (written by Jung Yeon and Kim Sung-rae, directed by Kim Chil-bong, provided by A E Global Media, produced by Wemade, LG U , and MBC C&I) that aired on the 26th, Kim Myung-soo as Cha Eun-hwan and Kang Min-a as Yu Ji-an learned the truth surrounding a past accident and parted ways, only to finally reunite.

Yu Ji-an belatedly learned that Eun-hwan's father had lost his life while saving her, and shed tears of guilt. Additionally, Yu Ji-an, who had been suffering from the gaslighting and tyranny of her mother, played by Son Ji-na as Choi Jung-mi, ultimately chose to disappear. Cha Eun-hwan finally found him after desperately searching, and they achieved a tearful reunion.

Afterward, Yu Ji-an terminated her contract with her mother and demonstrated her own growth by reclaiming her life. However, after visiting the father's crematory, she parted ways with a heavy heart, fearing her existence would become a wound for Cha Eun-hwan, and left.

After a year had passed, the two met again at the father's crematory, exchanging tender smiles at each other and leaving a deep aftertaste. 'Empathy Cells,' which dealt with the unique theme of emotional transference, came to an end as it healed wounds and rekindled the value of genuine communication.
