Lee Jae-hwan, a member of VIXX and musical actor, has taken on the role of official face for the '2026 3rd Gyeonggi University Students Musical Festival (GUMF)'.

The Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation held a commissioning ceremony at the Gyeonggi Artists' House on the 28th and appointed Lee Jae-hwan as a promotional ambassador. At the event, Ryu Jung-ju, CEO of the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, and other officials attended to present the appointment certificate and discuss activity plans.

Lee Jae-hwan has been recognized for his vocal and acting abilities in various works including 'Dead Poets Society', 'Kinky Boots', and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. The foundation stated that he was selected because his passion and professionalism displayed on stage align with the purpose of the event, which supports the challenges of young artists.

CEO Ryu Jung-ju expressed hope that Lee Jae-hwan's experience in establishing himself as a musical actor beyond being an idol will serve as a foundation for students' growth. GUMF is an event that supports creative work and presentations to enhance the capabilities of musical major students.

This year, to expand talent discovery, the number of teams advancing to the finals has been increased to 6, and a total of 6 final performances will be held in December. Starting with his participation in the summer camp in August, Lee Jae-hwan plans to conduct promotional activities to enhance public awareness.
