The sorrowful past that forced Hwang In-yeop and Lee Hye-ri to part ways 15 years ago has been revealed.
In the 2nd episode of ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama "A Dream for You" (directed by Yoo Seon-dong, written by Jung Eun-bi, planned by KT Studio Genie, produced by Contents Planner) that aired on the 14th, the reason for the breakup between Woo Su-bin, played by Hwang In-yeop, and Ju I-jae, played by Lee Hye-ri, their first love, was depicted. In the past during their teenage years, the two were each other's only comfort and support. Ju I-jae nurtured her dream of becoming a film director after winning the Grand Prize at a youth film festival, and Su-bin gained the courage to stand up to his father Woo Chul-gyu, played by Jung Hae-gyun, who forced him to become a doctor. However, 15 years later, Ju I-jae lives as a reporter, having forgotten his dream after hitting the wall of reality. Su-bin approached him with the determination to appear on a broadcast to complete the unfinished scenario with Ju I-jae, but Ju I-jae's response was cold.
In this broadcast, the real reason why Ju I-jae pushes Su-bin away was revealed. In the past, Ju I-jae stepped in to stop Su-bin from leaving for America but was involved in a traffic accident and fell into a coma. During that time, Ju I-jae's father passed away, and when Ju I-jae barely regained consciousness, he had to give up his dreams while dealing with his shattered life. Although he hurled harsh words saying "Su-bin, you are my regret," viewers were moved to tears by Ju I-jae's true feelings, as he was actually regretting himself for losing his dreams.
With Su-bin unaware of this accident, the two become entangled again through business. The scene where Ju I-jae, who desperately needs Su-bin's appearance for exclusive program airing, reluctantly visits Su-bin's home, added anticipation for future changes in their relationship.
