Webtoon production company Jaedamedia announced that it will release "Dekalkkomanis," a new thriller webtoon by author Kkoma Bee, who is known for original works of dramas "The Killer's Shopping List" and "S-Line," starting on the 16th through Millie's Library.
"Dekalkkomanis" is a thriller that depicts the story of two men who are unaware of each other's existence but subtly influence one another. The work portrays the lives of two characters—Kim Ji-hun, an ordinary family man, and Kim Hun-ji, who is temperamental toward others—as they conceal their antisocial inner selves in their respective lives. The meticulous composition stands out, with a backdrop of a news report about a husband murdering his wife, followed by a careful pursuit of the true culprit.
Through works such as "The Killer's Shopping List," "S-Line," and "Unsolved," author Kkoma Bee has established her distinctive genre by showcasing intricate tricks and psychological warfare. The original drama "The Killer's Shopping List" ranked first in Netflix's global non-English TV category, and "S-Line" was also recognized for both commercial success and artistic merit, winning first place in attracting new Wavve subscribers and receiving Korea's first music award at the Cannes International Series Festival. This new work is drawing attention as a crime thriller unveiled approximately 20 years after "The Killer's Shopping List."
The new work is also garnering significant interest in its potential for adaptation, based on the author's unique IP power. Jaedamedia CEO Hwang Nam-yong stated, "'Dekalkkomanis' is a work where repeated readings reveal new enjoyment as foreshadowing and plot twists unfold," and added, "Like the author's previous hit works, I hope this new series will also be brought to the screen in the future."
