The finale of SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Mr. Kim' (written by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun, planned by Studio S, produced by Studio S and Fantazio), which aired on the 25th, recorded 23.4% in the Seoul metropolitan area, 23.0% nationwide, and a peak of 27.1%. It maintained first place in its time slot until the end and set a new record for the highest viewership rating of a miniseries broadcast in 2026.
On that day, Mr. Kim (So Ji-seop) walked directly into a cruel trap set by Ju Kang-chan (Joo Sang-wook), who had kidnapped Tae-hoon and Da-bin, children of Sung Han-soo (Choi Dae-hun) and Park Jin-chul (Yoon Kyung-ho). Ju Kang-chan placed the three on a ring and forced them to attack each other. Mr. Kim attempted to sacrifice himself, but the three joined forces to break through the iron bars and overpower Ju Kang-chan's gang, executing a dramatic reversal.
Following this, Ju Hak Construction's corrupt practices came to light, and those involved fell from grace. Lee Eung-ryung (Lee Jae-yong) was extradited to North Korea by Kang-sung (Kim Sung-kyoo). Ju Kang-chan was also punished by Gold Tooth (Cho Bok-rae), completing the revenge.
After completing his mission, Mr. Kim faked his death and returned to Min-ji. The two reunited at the ossuary, shed tears, and promised a new beginning. Sung Han-soo and Park Jin-chul helped with the move and continued their friendship. The episode concluded with narration conveying the greatness of ordinary middle-aged fathers, ending with Mr. Kim going for an interview at his new job.
