Adidas has unveiled "Originals Sports," its first women's training collection that combines the style codes of Originals with performance technology.
Originals Sports was designed for women who pursue their own style even while exercising. It proposes a new sportswear that fulfills both athletic functionality and self-expression by incorporating the sensibility of Adidas Originals while adding performance technology optimized for training.
The collection draws inspiration from the Superstar tracksuit, Adidas's iconic symbol, and reinterprets it with a contemporary training aesthetic. By applying the Trefoil logo, bold cutlines, and feminine silhouettes while incorporating technology that prioritizes movement, it completes both sports performance and street style.
Following a launch event in New York, Adidas released campaign photos and videos featuring actress Kim Do-yeon on the 30th. The campaign captures Kim Do-yeon, who enjoys working out regularly, from her time at the gym to moments on the street, conveying the message of a "hot everyday life that doesn't compromise between performance and self-expression."
The product line comprises a diverse range including bras, leggings, tops, and layering wear. The bra is available in low and medium support types and features Adisoft and Lycra Adaptive fabric for breathability and flexibility. Leggings are also made with Lycra Adaptive material to support free movement.
The top line consists of the Superstar Bra Tee with Climalite technology that supports ventilation and cooling, and the Originals Sports Tank Padded. Layering pieces such as the lightweight and versatile Superstar Mid-layer and cover-ups complete a style that seamlessly transitions between workout spaces and everyday life.
The Korean collection is available starting the 30th at the Adidas official online store and major offline retailers.
