So Ji-sub and Seo Su-min from SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Kim Bu-jang' share a tender embrace amidst a critical crisis.
The 6th episode of 'Kim Bu-jang' (written by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun, planned by Studio S, produced by Studio S and Fantasia), which aired last week, recorded a nationwide viewership of 22.3% and a peak of 26.4%, marking its own highest rating. Additionally, it has maintained consecutive explosive success both domestically and internationally, reaching the top spot in Netflix's Global Non-English TV Shows category for two consecutive weeks.
In the previous broadcast, Kim Bu-jang (played by So Ji-sub), Sung Han-soo (played by Choi Dae-hun), and Park Jin-chul (played by Yoon Kyung-ho) were shown risking their lives to rescue Min-ji (played by Seo Su-min) who was captured by the Special Operations Division.
In episode 7, which airs on the 17th, Kim Bu-jang, Sung Han-soo, and Park Jin-chul, surrounded by suppression teams, continue their breathtaking escape operation to get away with Min-ji. A frightened Min-ji approaches Kim Bu-jang, who has subdued the Deputy Secretary of Security (played by Lim Chul-hyung), and sheds tears, while Kim Bu-jang comforts his daughter without letting down his guard. Sung Han-soo and Park Jin-chul will face the closing siege with airtight cover, adding to the drama's tension.
The scene required high concentration as it demanded both intense gunfire and deep emotional acting simultaneously. So Ji-sub, Choi Dae-hun, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Seo Su-min created a highly polished scene by rehearsing their movements and chemistry multiple times.
The production team said, "The desperate paternal love to protect his daughter and the passionate loyalty of those standing by his side will explode," and urged anticipation.
Episode 7 of 'Kim Bu-jang' will air on Friday, the 17th at 9:50 p.m.
