IO Content Group has expanded its portfolio by releasing its first short-form drama 'Check In with the Queen.'
'Check In with the Queen' has been available on the short-form platform Begle since the 14th. It is a mystery fantasy romantic comedy with a total of 48 episodes, starring Kim Na-yoon, Shin Woo-bin, Kim Dong-gyu, and Han Tae-hee.
This new work marks IO Content Group's first foray into short-form content, following the production of works such as 'My Perfect Secretary' and 'Gyeongwoo and Seonnyeo.' The production combines the delicate emotional lines and storytelling built from long-form production with short-form's characteristic fast-paced narrative to enhance overall quality.
The story begins when Queen Kim Dan-hee of the Joseon Dynasty awakens in a modern-day pension. Dan-hee spends time with three men of different charms and traces secrets surrounding her lost memories and an mysterious figure. In the process, she finds a life and love as a complete individual rather than merely someone's wife.
Unlike existing short-form works that focused on intuitive romance and revenge narratives, this combines time-slip fantasy and mystery structure. Each episode delivers excitement and humor while presenting new clues and plot twists to differentiate itself.
The chemistry among the main cast is also highly anticipated. Momoland's Na-yoon takes on the role of Queen Kim Dan-hee and charmingly depicts her adaptation to modern life. Shin Woo-bin, who appeared in a Berlin International Film Festival competition entry, Kim Dong-gyu from 'The Moon Flows in This River,' and Han Tae-hee from Disney 'Connect' join the cast, adding diverse appeal.

IO Content Group has completed its next project 'Vibe Click' (working title) and is preparing for year-end distribution. Meanwhile, 'Check In with the Queen' is currently available on Begle.
