Actress Lee Jung-hyun recreates her mother's homemade flavors using summer seasonal ingredients.
On KBS 2TV's 'Paeon's Store' airing on the 23rd at 8:30 PM, Lee Jung-hyun showcases a variety of recipes using yeolmu (young summer radish), a summer delicacy. Following the popularity of spring vegetables bibimbap, her signature menus including yeolmu bibimbap and ultra-simple yeolmu kimbap will be revealed.
In the VCR, Lee Jung-hyun prepares dishes with fresh yeolmu and retrieves her mother's barley miso recipe that she made every summer. After tasting the yeolmu bibimbap seasoned with barley miso that reduces saltiness while enhancing umami, Lee Jung-hyun becomes lost in deep memories, saying it tastes just like her mother's cooking.
Lee Jung-hyun then presents a new yeolmu kimbap following 'sesame cucumber kimbap' and 'dried radish kimbap.' Despite being an ultra-simple menu completed with just 2 ingredients, its savory, mild, and crispy taste earned admiration from the cast members watching.
These special recipes reminiscing about her mother and the new kimbap menu will be revealed on KBS 2TV's 'Paeon's Store' on Thursday, the 23rd at 8:30 PM.
