Actors Gong Hyo-jin, Jung Joon-won, and Lee Sang-i shared key viewing points for the upcoming premiere of "Wife Killer" airing a week from now.
MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama "Wife Killer" (Planning Kwon Sung-chang, Screenplay Kim Eun-hee, Direction Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hun, Production Bon Factory, Baram Pictures, Studio Fim) is set to premiere on the 31st at 9:50 p.m. and depicts the work-life balance struggle of a working mother with the most brutal profession in the world.
Gong Hyo-jin takes on the role of Yu Bo-na, an ordinary housewife at home and a killer who eliminates vicious criminals at work. Gong Hyo-jin pointed out the subtle interplay between her role as a homemaker and as a killer as the key viewing point, explaining that with many reverse sequences, an unpredictable narrative will unfold. She also previewed the contrasting charm of a character that alternates between coldness and vulnerability.
Jung Joon-won plays Kwon Tae-sung, Yu Bo-na's husband and an aggressive reporter. Jung Joon-won highlighted the moments of his wife's real job as a viewing point and expressed confidence that scenes depicting her work will be presented in a thrilling manner.
Lee Sang-i, who plays Detective Lee Dong-jin of the violent crimes unit, presented subtle gaps in identity as the key viewing point. He emphasized the tense conflict and chase between his friend's wife and the criminal he has been pursuing for a long time from Lee Dong-jin's perspective.
