'Yes, Let's Divorce' kicked off by unveiling an immersive script reading session.
KBS Drama's 'Yes, Let's Divorce' (directed by Joo Sung-woo, written by Hwang Ji-eon, produced by Canvas N) is set to premiere on August 19th (Wednesday) at 11 PM. The drama follows the real divorce experience of a married couple who are the owners of a wedding dress shop, putting an end to their exhausted married life. At the script reading, director Joo Sung-woo and writer Hwang Ji-eon were joined by cast members including Lee Min-jung (playing Baek Mi-young), Kim Ji-seok (playing Ji-won-ho), Lee Hyun-jin (playing Calvin), Lee Jin-yi (playing Ahn Hee-joo), Jung Ui-je (playing Kang Kyung-tae), and Wang Bit-na (playing Song A-ri).
As the reading began, the actors immersed themselves deeply in their roles. Lee Min-jung, who plays the wedding dress shop owner Baek Mi-young, delicately portrayed the inner conflict between her workaholic tendencies and a wavering marriage. Lee Min-jung shared that it will be an enjoyable time with much to relate to, and asked for lots of attention.
Kim Ji-seok, who plays Baek Mi-young's husband and co-representative Ji-won-ho, added laughter to the set with his cheerful energy. Showcasing both the pride of a skilled designer and clever acting, Kim Ji-seok asked viewers to focus on the process of why the couple decided to divorce.
Lee Hyun-jin, playing Baek Mi-young's ex-boyfriend Calvin, calibrated the tension of the drama by alternating between charisma and affection. Lee Jin-yi, playing photographer Ahn Hee-joo, also brought color to her role by delivering a bold character. With passionate performances from actors like Jung Ui-je and Wang Bit-na who added their own distinctive flair, the set heated up.
