'The Drama' has released a teaser trailer.
'The Drama' (directed by Christopher Boyle, produced by A24, Square Peg, distributed by TEO, sunlovetour, co-distributed by Waterhole Company Inc.) unveiled a teaser trailer ahead of its domestic release this September. The film tells the story of a happy couple preparing for their wedding who confess hidden secrets from their past, as their perfect wedding week descends into unpredictable chaos.
This new film, A24's flagship project for 2026, draws attention with the joint casting of Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, who previously worked together on 'Odyssey' and 'Dune: Part Three'. It premiered in North America first and achieved a record global box office of over 2 billion won. With A24's brand value and producer Ari Aster from 'Hereditary' and 'Midsommar' participating in production, the film boasts refined quality that blends romantic comedy and psychological thriller. For its domestic release, it marks the first film distribution by TEO, headed by PD Kim Tae-ho, and generates buzz as fashion brand sunlovetour participates in co-distribution with Waterhole Company.
The released teaser trailer begins with a warm scene of Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Robert Pattinson) one week before their wedding having a wedding photo rehearsal. Sweet scenes of them dancing and joking in response to the photographer's requests follow, heightening the loving atmosphere.
However, as the actual photo shoot begins, the tenderness disappears and is replaced by awkward smiles and uncomfortable tension, raising questions about what secrets lie between them. The teaser then cuts between Emma in her wedding dress looking angry on the day of the wedding and a bloodied Charlie, hinting at a dramatic twist.
A24's romance thriller 'The Drama', which has drawn attention with its teaser trailer, will be released in theaters nationwide this September.
