The 14th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF), Asia's largest international comedy festival, has unveiled a spectacular lineup of domestic and international performances ahead of ticket sales.
The festival will take place across Busan for ten days from August 21 to 30. The opening performance at Bexco Auditorium on August 21 at 7 p.m. will feature "Malza Show & Gag Concert Gala Show," followed by drawing performance team Croquis Brothers and French comedian Patrick Cotet Moine's "Mime de Lyon" as part of the opening stage. Broadcaster Ji Seok-jin will serve as the main MC, and popular band QWER will perform as a tribute act.
The domestic lineup includes "Gag Concert," which brings together popular segments, and "Gal Gal Gag Concert: The Return of Legends" featuring Park Jun-hyung, Shim Hyun-seop, and Park Sung-ho. Lee Hong-ryeol, Shin Bong-seon, Kim Shin-young, and Zoltan will present "The Jeon Yu-sung Show Without Jeon Yu-sung," honoring the late Jeon Yu-sung's achievements, while "Seoul Comedy All-Stars" led by Song Ha-bin and Danny Cho, and "B-grade Hearing" featuring YouTube creators Choi Sung-min, Nam Ho-yeon, and Kim Seung-jin will also take the stage.
There will be plenty of performances featuring witty storytelling and vivid communication. "Kongteu Ensemble" featuring Snack Town and Youth Desk, and "Mandan Ensemble" with Kwak Beom, Bo-tta, and Humor Men are being prepared. You can also enjoy "Woo Seok-hun Comedy Short Selections," which elicits laughter without saying a word, and nonverbal performance "Ongal-seu." International performance teams including "Japan Nonverbal Live G Team" and magic concert "Double" will participate, adding to the meaning of a global festival.
The closing performance "I Am a Dog Singer" on August 30 will feature Kim Dae-hee, Cho Hye-ryeon, Lee Se-young, and Lee Bong-won to passionately conclude the festival. Festival performance tickets will be available for reservation from 3 p.m. on the 16th through Interpark Tickets.
