Won-hyuk of the group E'LAST has confirmed his appearance in the musical 'Caffeine,' continuing his active stage activities.
The musical 'Caffeine' is a representative Daehak-ro romantic comedy that depicts a romance between barista Se-jin and sommelier Ji-min, who share a single café space divided into day and night shifts. Won-hyuk takes on the dual roles of the smooth-talking sommelier Ji-min and the gentle gentleman Jeong-min, challenging himself to his first double role since his debut. He will portray the precarious double life of two characters with distinctly different charms.
Won-hyuk has previously appeared in musicals including 'Romeo and Juliet,' 'Happy Oh! Happy,' and 'Bloody Love,' building a solid filmography. He has proven his stage skills through stable vocal ability and nuanced emotional expression. In particular, this work draws anticipation as his first two-character romantic comedy. Won-hyuk, who has primarily played characters with intense narratives, is expected to showcase another acting spectrum through a character connected to everyday life.
Won-hyuk expressed his feelings, saying, "I wanted to act a character connected to everyday life, and I'm happy to meet you all with this new work." Regarding his first double-role challenge, he stated, "I think it's a work where details are so important that it feels like a triple role. I'm preparing so that the different charms of the two characters can naturally come through, so I'd appreciate your interest."
Won-hyuk, serving as E'LAST's main vocalist and lead rapper, is expanding his activities based on his excellent live performance skills. The musical 'Caffeine,' in which Won-hyuk will perform, will be staged at The Good Theater in Daehak-ro from August 20 to October 25.
