TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Tap Friday' features Chungil and Chuhyukjin, who are high school alumni, in a fierce senior-junior showdown for pride.
On today's (17th) broadcast of 'Golden Tap Friday' at 10 p.m., the original multi-entertainer Lim Changjeong appears as the Golden Star, while Chungil and Chuhyukjin, junior alumni from his alma mater Icheon High School, face off as rivals. They unveil a special connection through Icheon High School's vocal lineage that starts with Lim Changjeong and continues through Chungil and Chuhyukjin, drawing heated interest even before the competition begins.
Chungil, who takes the opening, throws a bold challenge with Lim Changjeong's signature high-note song "The Love I've Caused." Even the original artist Lim Changjeong cautioned, "If you perform live, your singing career could be jeopardized," but Chungil chooses an uncompromising original key performance, amazing the scene. As soon as the intro plays, Lim Changjeong, realizing it's in the original key, exclaims "You're crazy," expressing his astonishment and heightening expectations for Chungil's performance.
In response, Chuhyukjin counters with Lim Changjeong's signature dance song "Dance with the Wolf." Even amid intense choreography, he demonstrates unwavering live vocal ability and commands the stage. After witnessing Chuhyukjin's perfect performance, Lim Changjeong surprises everyone by confessing, "Actually, I used lip-sync during my activities. How can you sing this live?" turning the scene into laughter.
The fierce pride showdown between senior Chungil, who challenged original key high notes, and junior Chuhyukjin, who handled difficult dance live singing, will be revealed tonight at 10 p.m. on TV CHOSUN's 'Golden Tap Friday.'
