Broadcaster Lee Si-an is taking on her first travel variety show challenge through ENA's "Gimssalabium."
ENA's new variety show "Gimssalabium" (produced by TEO), which premieres on August 1st, is a minimalism-focused close-up travel variety show where 4 travelers with different preferences embark on a journey with just one suitcase—a "4 people 1 suitcase" format. The members, bound together as a single suitcase community of fate, travel through 4 different terrains over 2 weeks.
Lee Si-an, who typically has the habit of packing "just in case," was taken aback when she first heard the show's concept, but decided to participate because she wanted to live more minimally and experience a truly authentic travel experience.
Contrary to her worries, she shared that by sharing one suitcase with the members, she experienced the concept of ownership disappearing. She borrowed and wore clothes or sourced items locally, and seamlessly blended in under the guidance of travel master Won-ji. She also shared the realization that emptying out space wasn't the pain of removing belongings, but rather a consideration of making room for the other members.
In the midst of this, she revealed that she formed a "Beauty Alliance" with Gabi and Harimu to protect her beauty products, drawing laughs. Lee Si-an, who refers to herself as a "human buffer material," smoothly alternated between seriousness and explosive energy, creating fantastic chemistry with the members.
Lee Si-an emphasized that alongside awe-inspiring nature, unexpected situations are set to unfold, urging anticipation for the spectacular journey. ENA's new variety show "Gimssalabium" will premiere on Saturday, August 1st at 7:50 PM.
