The Netflix film 'Possible Love' has achieved the honor of being officially invited to the competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
'Possible Love' (directed by Lee Chang-dong, screenplay by Lee Chang-dong and Oh Jung-mi, produced by Fine House Film Co., Ltd., Anonymous Content, and Now Film Co., Ltd., presented by Netflix), which will compete in the competition section of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival to be held in September, tells the story of a couple of laid-off workers and a couple of documentary filmmakers who meet through documentary production and face their different lives and hidden desires.
The competition section of the Venice International Film Festival is the main section competing for the Golden Lion Award, and this marks the 12th time a Korean film has been invited to the competition section in history. In particular, director Lee Chang-dong returns to the Venice International Film Festival competition section for the first time in 24 years since winning the Best Director award for 'Oasis' in 2002.
In his new work presented after 8 years, top Korean actors including Jeon Do-yeon, Seol Kyung-gu, Cho Jin-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong have joined the cast, drawing anticipation from film fans around the world.
Following its invitation to the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, 'Possible Love' is receiving worldwide attention and will be released globally through Netflix.
