A video featuring Gong Hyo-jin as a married woman killer living a precarious double life has been unveiled.
MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Married Woman Killer' (planned by Kwon Sung-chang, written by Kim Eun-hee, directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hoon, produced by Bon Factory, Wind Pictures, and Studio Fim), set to premiere on the 31st at 9:50 PM, depicts the struggle of a working mother with the world's most brutal profession fighting to maintain work-life balance.
The highlight video released on the 28th begins with images of criminals being released lightly and victims suffering as a result. This is followed by a warning that the harshest punishment will find them, and the voice of Yu Bo-na (played by Gong Hyo-jin) pulling the trigger of a sniper rifle, capturing attention.
As the brutal atmosphere fades, Yu Bo-na's surprising everyday life unfolds as she embraces her daughter Kwon Yul (played by Hwang Bom). The figure of husband Kwon Tae-sung (played by Jung Jun-won) preparing a meal for his wife's return to work and mother-in-law Ok Sun-ja (played by Cha Mi-kyung) criticizing household chores add to the glimpse of daily life oscillating between killer and housewife.
Returning to Durumi Electronics Sales Team 3, Yu Bo-na reveals her ace-like instincts by eliminating a criminal at once under the guise of a client meeting on her first day. The images of team members carefully selecting and eliminating criminals in their respective fields intersect, sparking curiosity about the true identity of Sales Team 3.
At news of legendary killer Kingfisher's return, Kwon Tae-sung is shocked, and Lee Dong-jin (played by Lee Sang-yi) ignites his investigative spirit. Yu Bo-na, now with a family to protect, strengthens her resolve to keep her identity hidden until the end, but tense situations unfold as she sheds tears and rushes away upon hearing that her daughter has disappeared.
Based on the original Kakao Webtoon, 'Married Woman Killer' will premiere on MBC on July 31st at 9:50 PM.
