Actress Gong Hyo-jin returns as a killer after finishing her parenting leave and begins her double life.
In the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Married Woman Killer' (planning by Kwon Sung-chang, screenplay by Kim Eun-hee, directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hoon, produced by Bon Factory, Baram Pictures, and Studio Pim), Gong Hyo-jin takes on the role of Yoo Bo-na, who returns as a killer after a three-year parenting leave, showcasing her multifaceted daily life. 'Married Woman Killer' is a drama depicting a working mother with a brutal profession fighting to maintain work-life balance.
In the released stills, Gong Hyo-jin exudes charisma at a training facility while revealing the excitement of her first day back after returning as a department head of the company's Sales Team 3. Her knife skills while preparing cabbage at her mother-in-law's shop reveal the killer instincts hidden behind a daughter-in-law's ordinary daily life.
Sung Dong-il, playing Kim Bong-pal, welcomes Gong Hyo-jin's return while proposing a brutal client meeting. As the mother-turned-killer Kingfisher undergoes changes, a series of criminal executions that must be handled will unfold.
Meanwhile, following a shooting incident that occurred in the heart of Seoul, Jung Jun-won, who plays Kwon Tae-sung, freezes upon hearing the news of Kingfisher's return. Attention focuses on why he, a former dedicated reporter, stopped his coverage and his relationship with Kingfisher. Additionally, Lee Sang-i, playing Lee Dong-jin, catches a glimpse of Kingfisher's return upon seeing a bullet left at the scene and begins a persistent investigation.
The production team requested attention to the process of balancing work and home while performing her main job as a killer and her role as a mother. They added that the backstories between characters and persistent pursuit that will unfold with Kingfisher's return are expected to heighten the tension.
'Married Woman Killer' will premiere on the 31st at 9:50 p.m.
