Girl group UNIS is presenting their first Japanese mini album featuring fresh Y2K sensibility.
UNIS (Jin Hyun-ju, Nana, Jellydanka, Kotoko, Bang Yun-ha, Elicia, Oh Yun-ah, and Lim Seo-won) released their first Japanese mini album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' through major online music platforms at midnight on the 31st. This is their first new release in approximately seven months since their second Japanese digital single 'mwah…' which was released last December. UNIS has been communicating with local Japanese fans through original Japanese songs, and through this mini album, they display their diverse musical charms.

To commemorate this release, UNIS collaborated with the popular Japanese character Ichigo Ichie (一期一会). They also released a special music video for 'GimmeSummer☆(GimiSama☆)' that adorably recreates the characters of all eight members. The video incorporates both the worldview of Ichigo Ichie and the energy of UNIS, maximizing the Y2K mood.
'UNI☆Sparkle!' is an album based on Japanese Y2K sensibility that captures the charm of UNIS. The album includes a total of five tracks: the title track 'GimmeSummer☆', 'BBYBBY', 'moshimoshi♡', 'mwah…', and the Japanese version of 'SWICY'.
The title track 'GimmeSummer☆' is UNIS's first summer song since their debut. Kanata Okajima and Carlos K., who have worked with numerous artists including BTS, participated in songwriting and composition, while Sako Makita handled the choreography to amplify UNIS's signature lively charm.
UNIS plans to continue their global activities by rolling out various promotions in Japan.
