KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday miniseries "The Completion of Marriage" (directed by Kim Jung-hyun and Kim Min-tae/written by Jung Jae-ha/produced by Red Nine Pictures and KBS Media) has set its own viewership record with 9.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area and 7.5% nationwide for episode 8, claiming first place in its time slot, bolstered by strong performances from Nam Goong-min, Kim Dae-myung, Lee Seol, and Lee Sang-hee. In the previous broadcast, Kang Tae-joo (played by Nam Goong-min) stopped Ha Jung-su (played by Jeon Gwang-jin) from killing kidnapper Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang-hee), but the episode heightened tension with an ending where Tae-joo witnesses Ha Jung-su's death.
In episode 9 airing on the 1st, Kang Tae-joo persistently interrogates Kim Kyung-ae after she regains consciousness following surgery. Kim Kyung-ae, who had been confident against Tae-joo's sharp questions, shows anxious eyes and is shocked by a suspicious remark he makes. The two actors meticulously coordinated their breathing and eye contact, completing an increasingly tense battle of wits with each line of dialogue.
The production team stated that this is an important scene where the awakened Kim Kyung-ae and Tae-joo, determined to uncover the truth, meet face-to-face for the first time, and asked viewers to anticipate the actions of the two characters whose positions have been reversed since the kidnapping incident. They added that the thriller's tension can be fully experienced simply by watching Nam Goong-min and Lee Sang-hee clash.
