In episode 7 of JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Apartment' (written by Kim Yoon-young, directed by Cho Yong-won, produced by SLL and Red Nine Pictures), Park Hae-gang (played by Ji-sung) depicted his all-out efforts to become the keeper of Lee Chung-won's (played by Park Byung-eun) safe, while shocking truths emerged that Park Yong-man (played by Jeong Jin-young) had received a terminal pancreatic cancer diagnosis, delivering compelling immersion.
Park Hae-gang was rejected for visiting Park Yong-man due to health reasons to win Lee Chung-won's favor, and subsequently visited the head of the police investigation division (played by Lee Hyun-gyun) but was turned down. As Park Hae-gang tracked the whereabouts of the missing Seo Gang-won (Baek Hyun-jin), he gained a hint from the incident of being trapped in a broken elevator with Kang Ha-ri (played by Ha Yun-gyung) and made a decisive move with a 'jangjung-geum 100% increase plan.' Park Hae-gang, who went to Taegowon to receive the 1 billion won, felt suspicious upon seeing a tree named after Seo Gang-won. Subsequently, while moving with the 1 billion won in his car, Park Hae-gang received a call from the investigation division head informing him that Park Yong-man had received a three-month terminal diagnosis, and with tears of rage, he unhesitatingly made a U-turn.
Meanwhile, Kang Ha-ri confessed to her older sister Kang Ha-jung (played by Ryu Hyun-gyung) that she was not a lawyer and shed tears alone. Witnessing this, Park Hae-gang offered consolation that those who protect him become clear if he fails, and Kang Ha-ri acknowledged her failure to Ha-jung and declared to her sister that she would achieve her dreams on her own, delivering a heavy emotional resonance.
