Episode 9 of KBS 2TV's Saturday-Sunday miniseries "The Completion of Marriage" (Directed by Kim Jung-hyun, Kim Min-tae/Written by Jung Jae-ha/Produced by Red Nine Pictures, KBS Media) recorded its highest viewership rating once again, achieving a peak minute rating of 8.9% and a nationwide rating of 7.6% based on Nielsen Korea standards.
The broadcast began with Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung) receiving a mysterious message along with a photo of a 3 billion won cash bag. Kang Tae-joo (played by Namkoong Min) undergoes police investigation into Ha Jung-soo's death and suggests to Team Leader Jang Do-sik (played by Lee Seul) that there may be someone behind Ha Jung-soo. Kidnapper Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang-hee), who regains consciousness after surgery, also claims she was used, but Jang Do-sik raises questions about the case circumstances.
Cleared of false charges, Kang Tae-joo volunteers to be Kim Kyung-ae's attending physician despite his father-in-law Go Dong-chan's (played by Jang Gwang) opposition and continues his investigation. When Kim Kyung-ae reveals she was rejected from fetal stem cell clinical research because she was a former convict, Kang Tae-joo obtains documents from Go Dong-chan's study with the help of Go Se-yoon (played by Lee Seul). Meanwhile, Noh Man-hee shows signs of madness by killing a hardware store owner who saw his wanted poster.
After reviewing the documents, Kang Tae-joo discovers that the list of clinical research candidates matches the list of major donors to the hospital. Angered by the truth that money was the criterion, Kang Tae-joo visits Kim Kyung-ae and tells her there was no position for her from the start rather than rejection, and that someone tried to use and kill her, creating anxiety. Meanwhile, junior doctor Cha Myung-hee (played by Cho Yoon-seo) is also revealed to be connected to Ha Jung-soo and Kim Kyung-ae and faces questioning from Jang Do-sik.
At the end of the broadcast, upon hearing that Noh Man-hee is heading to the hospital, Kang Tae-joo desperately searches for Go Se-yoon, but Noh Man-hee appears before Go Se-yoon holding a blood-stained hammer and swings it, heightening tension with a life-or-death ending. Viewers showed enthusiastic responses to the actors' passionate performances and explosive developments.
