A new concept minimalism travel with just one carry-on has delivered fresh entertainment right from the first episode.
In the first episode of ENA's entertainment show 'Luggage Salad Vivium,' maximalists Wonji, Gabi, Sian, and Harimu set off to Bangkok, Thailand, their first destination, carrying only a single 20kg carry-on.
From the fierce battle of packing their belongings to enjoying Bangkok on the first day with limited travel funds, the unique charm of the '4 people, 1 carry-on' format unfolded, and as they emptied their luggage, the personalities and chemistry of Wonji, Gabi, Sian, and Harimu filled the space.
Before embarking on the full trip, the four's bloodthirsty life challenge began. Since all of them are maximalists interested in specific fields, fitting four people's luggage into one carry-on was a challenge in itself. Even veteran Wonji packed plenty of hats and glasses, Gabi hid swimsuits and false eyelashes in someone else's pouch, and Harimu concealed nail tips among undergarments. Sian proposed the audacious idea of replacing underwear with patches and concealed hair tools in someone else's pants. Complaints poured in at the first gathering of the four about missing items, but a surprising twist revealed that they hadn't removed cosmetics despite not knowing each other's identities. With this unexpected unity, the nerve battle to protect their own luggage melted away.
On the day of departure, as Bangkok, Thailand was revealed as the first destination, additional rules were announced: if the carry-on exceeded 20kg, they couldn't depart, and 10,000 won in travel funds would be provided per 1kg of weight. Here, Wonji's organizational skills shone. Thanks to the zip bags she had prepared in advance, the tangled luggage was quickly organized, and she even demonstrated the skill of hitting exactly 20kg. The eldest sister Wonji, a 16-year professional traveler, showed signs of being exhausted by her younger sisters' relentless high-energy personalities, but she soon participated in making Reels and settled into the journey.
In the process of shopping, dining, and enjoying foot massages on Khao San Road, the center of the city that never sleeps, the advantages of minimalism travel were highlighted. With only one carry-on, they were able to take regular taxis for convenient transportation and significantly reduced the time and effort spent unpacking and organizing luggage. The four, who thoughtfully selected items and felt the beauty of emptiness, became rapid friends, saying they felt like they had experienced a whole year in just half a day.
