KBS 2TV's Sunday mini-series 'The Completion of Marriage' sees Nam Goong-min make a bold counterattack by burning a bundle of 3 billion won in cash.
The 4th episode of 'The Completion of Marriage' (directed by Kim Jeong-hyun, Kim Min-tae / written by Jung Jae-ha / produced by Red Nine Pictures, KBS Media), which aired last week, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 7.2%, marking its highest to date, and ranked 1st on Disney Korea's TOP 10 Series for two consecutive weeks. In the previous development, Kang Tae-ju (played by Nam Goong-min) signaled a counterattack against No Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung), the kidnapper of Go Se-yun (played by Lee Seol), after collaborating with Lee Su-hyung (played by Park Byung-eun).
In the 5th episode airing on the 18th, Kang Tae-ju's meticulous counterattack plan unfolds against No Man-hee. While Kang Tae-ju continues his thorough preparations by inspecting various communication equipment and mysterious devices, he shocks everyone by attempting to pour oil on and burn a bundle of 3 billion won in cash obtained from his in-laws. Attention is focused on whether this cunning counterattack—burning a large sum of cash to rescue his kidnapped wife—will succeed.
Nam Goong-min portrays Kang Tae-ju, who calmly leads the suffocating psychological battle with the kidnapper, in a multi-dimensional way. Even amid the anxiety of not knowing whether his wife is alive or dead, he dominated the scene with determined eyes and heavy tone, showcasing sharp emotional lines of a character transformed from fugitive to pursuer through detailed acting.
The production team stated, "This is the scene where Kang Tae-ju makes his first bold move against No Man-hee, turning the tables," and added, "You will experience the sharp and intense immersion of the crime thriller genre." The 5th episode of 'The Completion of Marriage', which depicts an extreme struggle to rescue a wife kidnapped just before divorce, will air on Saturday, the 18th at 9:20 PM.
