MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Married Woman Killer' has released a second teaser video depicting an all-out chase surrounding the main characters.
'Married Woman Killer' (Planned by Kwon Seong-chang / Written by Kim Eun-hee / Directed by Yoon Jong-ho and Kim Ji-hoon / Produced by Bonfactory, Baramppictures, Studio Pim), set to air for the first time on the 31st, is a drama depicting the struggle of a working mother with the most brutal profession in the world to maintain her work-life balance. The released video begins with Yu Bo-na (played by Gong Hyo-jin) displaying charisma while aiming a sniper rifle on a rooftop, then delivering a twist of humor by hurrying to leave work, saying "I need to pick up my child." Yu Bo-na is a cold-blooded killer who eliminates criminals, but she displays a double life as a daughter-in-law who bows her head before her mother-in-law Ock Sun-ja (played by Cha Mi-kyung).
Kwon Tae-sung (played by Jung Jun-won), a husband who only knows his wife, reveals the side of an affectionate lover. Even amidst his mother's commotion, he embraces and protects Yu Bo-na with his whole body, but his persistence as a newspaper journalist creates mounting tension. As Kwon Tae-sung, a professional journalist, begins to track a mysterious figure and uncover the truth, a precarious situation unfolds where he gets one step closer to the identity of his most beloved wife.
The net tightens further with the involvement of detective Lee Dong-jin (played by Lee Sang-i). Lee Dong-jin is a warm-hearted person who pledges to protect the family of his close friend Kwon Tae-sung, but at the investigative front, he methodically uncovers cases with a cold head. Lee Dong-jin's approach, unaware that his target is actually the family of a friend he must protect, foreshadows crossed fates.
At the end of the video, Yu Bo-na's voice responds to her daughter Kwon Yul (played by Hwang Bom) asking "What kind of work does mom do?" with "Work that the world needs," revealing her firm conviction and raising expectations.
'Married Woman Killer,' based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name, will air for the first time on Friday, July 31st at 9:50 PM.
