The "Kraken," a deep-sea creature action thriller with the largest production budget in Nordic film history, will be released on IPTV and VOD on July 30th.
"Kraken" (directed by Pål Øie, imported by Signal Pictures, distributed by Nine Planners) is a film depicting a battle between an ancient monster and humans set against the backdrop of Norway's largest fjord, the Sognefjord.
The released special poster captures attention by placing the giant tentacles of the ancient monster Kraken from the pitch-black deep sea at the forefront. The tentacles wrapping around the cold sea showcase the visual beauty completed by the VFX expertise of the "Troll Attack" production team and Scandinavia's first "Dolby Vision" process.
The phrase "No. 1 at Norway's Box Office" at the top of the poster proves its commercial success, while the copy "We woke up that sleeping beast!" foreshadows a massive counterattack triggered by human sonar technology.
Along with the Kraken's destructive action that overwhelms buildings, unexpected sights such as Korea's "Buldak Bokkeummyeon" and "Shin Ramyun" will provide a refreshing experience. "Kraken" will be available on major digital platforms starting July 30th.
