The movie 'Sing Again' has confirmed its release date of September 2 and unveiled its official poster.
'Sing Again' (directed by John Carney, screenplay by John Carney and Peter McDonald, distributed by Revive Contents, released by Bypoem Studio) tells the story of two people whose lives had come to a standstill as they begin to sing again in search of a lost song. The released poster features the original logo and the tagline "One song changed two lives" against a background of sheet music with the first notes of a song written on it, building anticipation.
The contrasting figures of nameless wedding singer Rick Farris (Paul Rudd) gripping an old guitar and pop star Danny Wilson (Nick Jonas) holding a microphone catch the eye. Even as they sing the same song, their gazes directed in different directions hint at a strained relationship sparked by the song known by only one person's name. Director John Carney explained that the story is about how the same song takes on different meanings for each character.
The signature song "How to Write a Song (Without You)" is both a collaborative creation of the two and serves as a catalyst for conflict. Paul Rudd personally handled vocals and guitar playing, while Nick Jonas, a former pop star, added authenticity by infusing his own experience into the character.
'Sing Again', which captures the moment they sing again, will be available at theaters nationwide on September 2.
