Ji-sung from JTBC's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Apartment' has been spotted transforming into a delivery hero deeply rooted in everyday life, carrying sacks of rice and pulling a hand cart.
The second episode of 'Apartment' (written by Kim Yun-young, directed by Jo Yong-won, produced by SLL and Red Nine Pictures Co., Ltd.), which aired on the 12th, recorded a nationwide average viewership of 5.4% and a peak viewership of 6.5%, marking its own highest rating. Additionally, it topped the Netflix global OTT 'Top 10 Series in South Korea' category, proving its popularity.
In the previous broadcast, Park Hae-gang (played by Ji-sung), who discovered 17.8 billion won hidden in the apartment, made a 100 million won fake contract with Kang Ha-ri (played by Ha Yun-kyung), and formed a fake family with former apartment manager Lizard (played by Kim Won-hae), Kim Kyung-nam (played by Jung Sun-won), Jang Je-gil (played by Hwang Hee), and Big Twin (played by Kim Gyu-won) to prepare for the building representative election.
In episode 3, which will air on the 18th, Park Hae-gang is shown pulling a large hand cart while wearing a vest with 'Coexistence' written on it and work gloves instead of his neat suit, sorting through deliveries. Under the charismatic direction of Park Hae-gang, the fake family moves in unison, and curiosity is piqued about what led those who ran in the building representative election to jump into the delivery field.
On the actual filming set, Ji-sung perfectly studied and expressed the movements of veteran delivery drivers, from the way he pulls the hand cart to his delivery sorting gestures. Jung Sun-won, Hwang Hee, and Kim Gyu-won added laughs to the set with their comedic performances, displaying capitalism-style warm smiles.
The production team raised expectations, stating, "Those with a rough past will stumble through adaptation in the everyday space of an apartment, offering both pleasant laughter and thrilling tension simultaneously." 'Apartment' is a human drama rooted in everyday life that tells the story of a former boss of the Oasis faction who runs for building representative election to access hidden money in an apartment and eliminates corruption together with residents.
'Apartment' airs every Saturday at 10:40 p.m. and Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
