The Fireworks Fighters overpowered Dongguk University, a prestigious college baseball program, and extended their winning streak to four consecutive live broadcasts.
On the SBS Plus special broadcast "Fireworks Baseball Live - Fireworks Fighters vs. Dongguk University" aired on the 26th, the Fireworks Fighters defeated Dongguk University 3-1. The stellar seven-inning performance by starter Lee Dae-eun, combined with the focused batting lineup and the finishing touch by closer Oh Seung-hwan, recorded a peak viewership rating of 0.8%, heating up viewers' homes.
The game opened with In Soon-yi's powerful rendition of the national anthem, actress Gyeong Su-jin throwing the ceremonial first pitch, and Oh Seung-hwan taking the ceremonial first at-bat. The broadcast was handled by commentator Jung Woo-young and analyst Lee Soon-chul, delivering vivid on-site coverage.
Starting pitcher Lee Dae-eun recorded a strikeout in the early innings to gain momentum.
